We pray that this message finds you happy, healthy, and doing well. My guess is that you haven’t slowed down much over the past year, but hopefully, on this one day, May 13, 2023, you will take a couple of hours to fellowship with some other women who are in this sisterhood.  It is a sisterhood no one really wants to be in, but here we are, nonetheless.  And even though Mom may not be here in the flesh, we gather to celebrate the time we had her.

And so, it is on this day, we do slow down a bit, we let other things go, we have a nice meal, share some laughter, catch up with old friends, and make some new ones.  But most of all, we remember, we acknowledge, we celebrate, we honor the lives of our amazing Moms who, by His grace, will live on in our hearts forever.  It is a time of bittersweet joy as we thank God for the time that we had them and ask His blessings on us as we strive to live up to the legacy they left us.  

   

1.   The Luncheon  

   

The 16th Annual Motherless Daughters Luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023.  The event will be held at the beautiful Orlando’s Events Center, 2050 Dorsett Road 63043, Maryland Heights, MO, from Noon until 3:00PM, and will consist of a buffet chocked full of choices of incredible yummy-ness!   There will be something for everyone!  The luncheon invitation, which has all the logistical details, i.e., date, time, place, cost, how to purchase tickets, etc., is attached to this message.  

   

2.   The Program  

   

Pictures, pictures, pictures!  If you have not already done so, please provide a picture of your mom, and be sure to include her first and last name, as well as a picture of yourself.  Also, if you have a photo of you and your mom together, we would love to have that as well.  These photos are utilized in both the digital Lighting the Candle Ceremony at the Luncheon, as well as printed in the Commemorative Keepsake Booklet.  If you have already provided us pictures at some time in the past, we will certainly use the ones we have, but this would be a perfect time to change/upgrade your pictures if you would like to do so.  All hard copy pictures will be returned to you at the luncheon.    

   

3.   Each One/Reach One  

   

Again, this year we are asking everyone, if possible, to invite at least one other Motherless Daughter to the luncheon.  In conversation with many of you, it was agreed that this would be a great way to include other women who share similar emotions around Mother’s Day, and who might enjoy and benefit from this unifying experience.   Just print off the invitation to share with anyone you may wish to invite.  Tickets may be purchased by clicking Luncheon Tickets or using the button below.   Tickets may also be purchased from members of the Motherless Daughters Planning Committee.  A list of their names and email addresses are attached.  

  

4.   Resource/Networking Table  

  

The luncheon is, among so many other things, a great networking opportunity, and a chance for us to support each other in our individual endeavors.  So, in that spirit, a resource will be available where attendees can place their business cards and/or pick up cards from others.  So, if you have a business, provide a service, possess a skill, please bring some of your business cards, flyers, etc. to share.  

  

5.   2023 Commemorative Keepsake (fundraiser)  

   

Our goal is to make sure that all attendees feel special and are uplifted on this day, while at the same time, try to keep the cost as low as possible as well as to fund various other charitable activities within our community.  To help meet those objectives, we will be publishing the 2023 Commemorative Keepsake again this year and are asking that you buy/sell ads in the booklet.  The ads can be commercial in nature or may simply be a remembrance of a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and/or any other loved one(s) with a memorial message or Happy Mother’s Day salutation.  The order form, which has all the pertinent information, can be accessed here: 2023 Commemorative Keepsake Order Form

So, as soon as possible but no later than April 28rd, for you and your guest(s), you will need to:  

   

• Confirm attendance and submit $50.00 per person luncheon fee (Reminder: tickets can be purchased online: www.motherless-daughters.org.) 

• Provide Moms and Daughters first and last names  

• Provide Moms and Daughters pictures if you have not already done so (or if you simply wish to change the pictures from previous years)  

• Submit ad copy and associated payment  

   

This is the 16th annual Motherless Daughters Luncheon…16th!!!  We thank you so much for hanging in there with us. We are so excited to see you, and grateful that you have supported us in this endeavor of love over the years. We appreciate you so much and we thank God for you and another year of His amazing grace!
